Sudbrooke - St Edward

View this Grade II Iisted building by John Dobson of Newcastle with its unusual blue starred ceiling in the apse. The church was modelled on the Norman church of All Saints, Steetley in Derbyshire.

Scothern - St Germain

Mentioned in Domesday Book, rebuilt over the years on land owned by Bardney Abbey between 1154 and 1536, who had the right to appoint the priest. Medieval tower with six bells, clock and font presented by the Ellison family. Three double stained glass windows and a medieval grave slab. Fine needlework examples include altar cloths, wall hangings and kneelers. War memorial. Themed exhibition - Village Hobbies and Pastimes, including displays and practical demonstrations.

Nettleham • All Saints

Nettleham All Saints - Ashley Taylor, Push Creativity*

Dating from Saxon times we have many beautiful stained glass windows, including the Hayward East Window. Wall paintings and Bodley and Garner ceilings can be seen. 

Beside the beck, we are a living, thriving church with many and varied activities, central to village life and a place for quiet contemplation and prayer. 

Heritage and school input. 

Sat 11am-11.45am - Lincoln Society of Recorder Players. 
Sat 14pm-3pm - Quarter peel rung on the church bells.
Sun 14.30-15.30 - Songs of Praise - come and join our choir and sing your choice of favourite hymns.

Two standards from Old Scampton RAF camp.

Hackthorn • St Michael & All Angels

A warm welcome awaits you at this beautiful Victorian Gothic church with fine carved woodwork situated in peaceful surrounding among trees and parkland of Hackthorn Hall, overlooking the lake.

There is an outstanding 1869 Nicholson organ of historic importance, restored in 1999. 

A peal of six bells was installed in 2006. 

Tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits also for sale.
