Scothern - St Germain

Mentioned in Domesday Book, rebuilt over the years on land owned by Bardney Abbey between 1154 and 1536, who had the right to appoint the priest. Medieval tower with six bells, clock and font presented by the Ellison family. Three double stained glass windows and a medieval grave slab. Fine needlework examples include altar cloths, wall hangings and kneelers. War memorial. Themed exhibition - Village Hobbies and Pastimes, including displays and practical demonstrations.
